We loved our 2024 Christmas Chronicles adventure so much, that we simply had to go back to the USA for another Christmas adventure.

On this adventure, we planned to take a different approach, given that we were quite taken back by the friendliness and welcoming experience we’d had in Gettysburg, we thought it would be a good idea to take a road trip and visit smaller towns without spending too much time in the bigger cities.

We decided upon the state of Vermont and due to flight availability, we were forced to fly to NYC.

From NYC, we took a train from Penn Station to Boston, MA from which, we then hired a car and then spent the next 11 days traveling around Vermont. The final part of our Christmas adventure was to fly directly to the UK to spend time with my family - which meant flying to the UK from Boston. That meant that Boston was also on the trip list and such, we’d planned to spend a couple of days in Boston (including Salem) before taking a flight to the UK.

We were very blessed that the state of Vermont had happened to receive a fairly wide spread blanket of snow just a week or so before we arrived.

The state of Vermont definitely did NOT disappoint one bit. We travelled the state in almost a full circle stopping off in Grafton, Springfield, Chester, Manchester, Woodstock, Stowe & Burlington to mention a few.
