Meet Aida, the Yoga Life Coach - (the chaos to my Husbands order)
Hey there! I'm Aida, a passionate yoga teacher and a dedicated yoga life coach. 🧘♀️ Originally from Spain, my journey has taken me across the globe, living in the UK, the Netherlands, Tanzania, back to the UK, and now happily settled in sunny Spain.
What really makes life exciting is the fact that I bring chaos (the good kind, of course!) to my husband's order. He's all about structure and precision as a photographer, while I thrive in the flow of spontaneity and energy. Together, we create the perfect balance of yin and yang, harmony in our differences.
Follow along for some yoga tips, life inspiration, and a sprinkle of our playful adventures as we navigate this beautiful journey called life!
Welcome to Yin & Reset
Finding Freedom Through Yoga
Can you imagine a twist of fate that changes the course of your life? That’s exactly what happened to me in 2017. My yoga journey had begun a decade earlier as a path to self-discovery, balance, and peace — but it wasn’t until a life-altering event that it truly deepened.
In 2017, I suffered a serious accident that left my right shoulder severely injured. Doctors doubted I would ever regain full mobility. It was a moment of despair, uncertainty, and fear. But in the midst of that darkness, a spark of hope appeared: yoga.
Yoga became more than a practice — it became a lifeline. With each gentle stretch and mindful movement, I began to reclaim not only the mobility of my shoulder but also my confidence and sense of self. This journey taught me something powerful: yoga is not just physical exercise; it is a practice of resilience, self-trust, and freedom.
Today, I carry that gratitude forward, sharing what I have learned so others may also experience healing, balance, and empowerment — no matter their circumstances.
Embracing Menopause and Selfdiscovery through Yoga
A few years ago, I entered the transformative phase of menopause — a period of profound self-discovery, reflection, and experimentation. Yoga remained my guide, helping me navigate change with grace, softness, and strength.
During this time, I immersed myself in aromatherapy, Ayurveda, and other ancient wellness practices. My path led me to specialize in Trauma-Informed Yoga and Yin Yoga, creating practices that honor both the body and the subtle emotional layers we carry.
This work became the foundation for Yin & Reset, a space dedicated to helping women reconnect with themselves, reclaim their inner strength, and rediscover balance — especially for those living in rural areas, where access to wellness tools can be limited. Through gentle, mindful movement and supportive community, women are encouraged to awaken their inner power while embracing softness and self-care.
The Emoyin Method: learning through Emotion and Movement.
From my work with Yin & Reset emerged the Emoyin Method, a unique approach to learning and healing that integrates emotion, joy, and movement.
The Emoyin Method is based on the principle that true learning and transformation happen when we involve the whole self — mind, body, and heart. Movement is a key element: when we connect physical expression with emotional awareness, the body remembers what the mind may forget. This method has proven incredibly effective not only in yoga but also in language learning, communication, and personal development, because it engages curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.
In essence, the Emoyin Method is about coming home to yourself: releasing tension, reclaiming agency, and discovering joy in every moment of growth.
Mindfulness for All: Bringing Healing to Remote Communities
One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is taking these practices beyond traditional studios. Through my project “Yinandreset”, I bring mindfulness, yoga, and somatic practices to remote communities and underserved populations around the globe.
I believe that tools for healing, self-regulation, and emotional resilience should not be limited by geography. From rural villages to women, to teenagers, to frontline professionals like police officers, nurses or teachers, these practices offer a lifeline for emotional and physical well-being, helping people reconnect with themselves, manage stress, and cultivate balance in their daily lives.
Fascia, Somatics, and Deep Body Wisdom
As a fully qualified Yin Yoga teacher, my study of fascia, connective tissue, and somatic anatomy has profoundly shaped my teaching. Training with Elena Sepulveda in Yin Yoga and Nicky Hadjithoma in Myoyin and Spine Anatomy, I’ve learned that the body stores memory, emotion, and habitual patterns, and that mindful movement can release tension and trauma at every level.
This knowledge allows me to design sequences that are intuitive, therapeutic, and deeply transformative, helping students move beyond surface-level flexibility into a holistic experience of self-awareness, emotional release, and nervous system regulation.
"My aim is to create spaces where presence and safe movement can open pathways of light, through stories filled with darkness and silence."
Welcome to Yinandreset! Walking This Path With You
