Northern Spain Trip
Collection - 2025
This trip was original motivated by an ‘in-person’ Podcast we needed to record for one of Aida’s Podcast episodes.
Taking advantage of this, we decided to spend the best part of a week exploring the northern coastline of Spain. This trip took us through the Basque Country and the region of Cantabria. The later being very reminiscent to me of the Peak District in the UK (one of my favourite places on Planet Earth).
We started just over the border in France and our first stop being that of Sant-Jean-de-Lux - very much reminding me of some of the Cornish coastline in the UK.
We stopped off at San Sebastian, Getaria, Castro Urdiales, Santillana del Mar (a must visit), San Vincente de la Barquera, Logroño, Estella & Jaca. Part of our journey overlapped some of the ancient pilgrimage routes across Europe that leads to Santiago de Compostela.
This area of northern Spain is truly beautiful and took me by surprise. We will definitely be heading back this way again in the future to further explore into the region of Galicia - a part of the Spanish coastline that’s been on my list for some time now. Enjoy!
